In Cameroon, elections are too often presented as the only path to change. Yet history has shown us they are repeatedly hijacked, manipulated, and reduced to rituals that sustain the status quo.
The real issue is not chasing an election date as if it alone holds the key to our future. The real issue is building transformation: the awakening of our consciences, the strengthening of our solidarities, the structuring of our organizations. It is about forging, step by step, a citizen power strong enough to impose the refoundation of our country.
Transformation cannot be decreed—it must be organized. It does not stop at speeches; it requires a patient, lucid movement rooted in our neighborhoods, our villages, our associations, our businesses, our families. It feeds on courage and consistency.
We must not confuse a step with the journey. An election may be a moment. But transformation—that is the horizon.
